According to a spokesperson of FC, the law enforcement agencies launched a search operation in Washuk area adjacent to district Kharan. Armed men opened fire over the FC personnel which was retaliated by the security men and killed 15 armed miscreants.
A personnel of FC was also killed and three others sustained injuries in the clash.
The slain miscreants included three key commanders of an outlawed separatist group, the spokesman claimed.
The search operation has been still continuing and additional contingents of FC have been called to the area.
The law enforcers have also captured large quantity of arms and ammunition from a secret bunker.
