DUBAI: Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in the second ODI at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on December 20 (Friday), ARY News reported.
Pakistan leading the 5-match series by 1-0; however the first ODI finished in circumstances that may have left both teams with a positive outlook for the upcoming matches.
Pakistan will be expecting their young guns Sharjeel Khan and Sohaib Maqsood to keep their forms alive while Mohammad Hafeez's return to form is a valuable boost to Pakistan’s top order.
Sri Lanka, however, will be pleased at the fight from the lower order. Seekkuge Prasanna and Sachithra Senanayake hit the highest eighth-wicket stand ever in Sharjah.
As both the teams scored past 300 runs, so bowling will be much of concern for the two teams and will be looking for impressive performance in the second match.
The pitch of Dubai is considered bating friendly and the team batting first will again have an advantage while dew did not seem to have formed at Sharjah for the first match and the same is expected for the match in Dubai.
