SC judge terms PCB’s new constitution illegal

Justice Saqib Nisar of the SC was hearing a case regarding appointment of PCB chairman. He remarked that the new constitution of the PCB was illegal.

He asked how could the PCB issue notification regarding enactment of new constitution when the matter was already sub-judice.

The judge ruled that notification regarding PCB constitution was tantamount to interference in court proceedings.

The PCB had couple of days back issued notification regarding finalisation of new constitution. It also stated sacking of Najam Sethi as PCB chief.
