3G cellular service to be launched in Bajaur’s tribal districts today

BAJAUR: 3G cellular service is being launched in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday (today), Radio Pakistan reported.

The service is being launched on the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan to provide global connectivity to the tribal district.

In  a video message, yesterday, CM Mahmood Khan had said that the government, on the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, had completed all the preparations to launch 3G internet service in Bajaur from Monday (today).

He had said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s government would fulfill all its promises made with the masses.

The chief minister had said that the government would complete the construction of new grid stations on emergency basis to ensure power supply in the tribal districts.

Earlier, in a bid to uplift the tribal districts, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan had announced to establish a medical college and university in the newly merged tribal areas.

Addressing a public meeting in Younas Khan Park on March 11, CM Mahmood Khan had vowed to bring terrorism affectees back to their hometowns.

He had  said that 3G and 4G mobile phone service would be provided in the tribal areas. The chief minister had promised that he would inaugurate a cadet college, medical college and a university in the next visit.
