5 cops killed due to firing in Badh Bair

PESHAWAR: At least five policemen were killed as a result of firing on a police van in Badh Bair area of Peshawar – ARY News reports.

According to details, unknown armed men opened fire on a police party on routine patrol, as a result of which 4 policemen including an Inspector were killed.

Rescue teams and additional contingent of security forces rushed to the site, soon after the incident.

Meanwhile, another cop succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital, whereas security forces have surrounded off the vicinity and a search for culprits is underway.
