Karachi: As law and order circumstances in Karachi are getting better, the housing and construction industry is looking forward to improvise the living standards of people in Pakistan.

The construction and similar industries gathered at the 9th Build Asia Exhibition, which is a three-day event began at the Karachi Expo Centre on Tuesday.
It is jointly organized by the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) and the Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan Private Limited.

“We are confident that the housing and construction industry in Pakistan, especially in Karachi, is going to see an improved rate of growth in the coming years,” said ABAD Senior Vice Chairman M Saleem Kassim.
Various stalls from construction plus building sector set up their stalls so as to promote the new living standards.

“We want to increase the number of exhibitors in this annual exhibition and we are hopeful that we will organize this event at a much larger scale,” said Kassim.
According to sources it is observed that a lot of international exhibitions are affected due to the bad city conditions of Karachi, build Asia was also a victim of this similar situation.

As per expected the participation was low due to the violent city conditions and security issues.
“Pakistan’s construction industry is developing fast and this is why we are here to interact with our potential customers,” said Chee Lih Qun, business development manager Richee Engineering, a Singapore-based company.

Builders say that property prices in Karachi have seen a relative jump in the last four months since the current government has taken over.
