BANNU: Police on Friday claimed to have recovered a suicide jacket, explosive material and huge cache of arms and ammunition from a house in Bannu area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Taking action on intelligence-based information, cops of Ghazni Khel police station, conducted raid at a house in Paher Khel, outskirt of Bannu and recovered a suicide jacket, two kilogram prima cards, three batteries and a mortar shell.
A hand grenade, weapons, ammunition and other things were also recovered from the house. Sources said that the militants had dumped the weapons and explosives there. No one was taken into custody during the raid. The police have registered a case in this regard and launched investigations.

Earlier, six members of a family had been killed in an explosion at a house in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on January 30.
Local officials had relayed that a couple along with their four children lost their lives in the explosion which took place within the jurisdiction of Haved police station.
A school teacher, Barkatullah, his wife and four children were among the deceased victims.
