Bizenjo’s nomination papers filed for Balochistan CM

QUETTA: Abdul Quddus Bizenjo on Thursday submitted his nomination for the office of the chief minister of Balochistan, ARY News reported.

The nomination papers of Bizenjo for the top office of the province were filed by the party, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran said in a statement.

Abdul Quddus Bizenjo was proposed and seconded by Abdul Rehman Khetran and Saleh Bhotani for the chief minister’s slot.

Earlier, Governor Balochistan approved resignation of Bizenjo from the office of the Balochistan Assembly’s Speaker.

After resignation of former chief minister Jam Kamal, Bizenjo, an elected member of the provincial legislature from Awaran, also stepped down as the speaker of the assembly.

Balochistan coalition partners decided to nominate him for the chief minister’s office and Mir Jan Jamali as Speaker of the provincial Assembly.

Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani addressing a press conference had announced nomination of Abdul Quddus Bizenjo for the leader of the house in Balochistan Assembly.

Bizenjo talking to media, after his nomination papers filed, vowed to deliver in the province, ” My work is to deliver not talk only,” he said. “It seems there is only one candidate for the office,” Commenting on the election he said.
