KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in wee hours of Sunday arrested 25 suspects including an absconder during raids at different parts of the city, ARY News reported
The law enforcers also recovered weapons buried underground at Lal Qila ground in Azizabad.
The crackdown on miscreants in the city was launched on Saturday night and that contined till Sunday morning in different parts of the city. Police arrested 10 suspects during a raid in Landhi area of the city and seized weapon as well as a stolen motorcycle from their possession.
Separately, police arrested 15 more suspects including a absconder during a search operation in Ittehad Town of Baldia. However, the identification of the Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) escapee could not be established.
Moreover, the provincial government of Sindh extended special powers to Rangers in the province for another 90 days under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 yesterday.
