ACC unveils Asia Cup's schedule

KARACHI: The Asian Cricket Council, on Thursday has announced the schedule for Asia Cup, the opening match will be played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, ARY News reported.
Total eleven matches will be played in the tournament between February 25 and March 8, featuring teams of Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
However, Pakistan’s participation in the event is subject to government's decision. And ACC chief executive Ashraful Huq said that the tournament will go ahead as planned even if Pakistan pulled themselves out of the event.
"Earlier in 1986 in Sri Lanka, India didn't participate while in 1991, Pakistan didn't participate in India”, he added.
