BHIMBAR: Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan says India is using coercive tactics to divert the world’s attention from human right abuses being committed by its troops in occupied Kashmir.

Addressing a public gathering in Bhimbar, he said people in occupied Kashmir are being murdered, maimed, blinded and illegally imprisoned for merely demanding to exercise their right to self-determination.

Masood said international community has become a silent spectator due to its strategic, political and economic interests with India.

He said the government has allocated substantial funds for constructing bunkers to be used by the citizens in the areas most vulnerable to enemy fire.

The AJK president assured that every effort was being made for providing ambulances for evacuation of the injured and for the speedy establishment of basic health facilities in areas adjoining the Line of Control.

He also thanked Pakistan’s armed forces for their untiring efforts in defending the people living along the LoC.
