Regarding Saeed Ajmal, the PCB chief said he hoped that Ajmal would successfully undergo his testing that will pave his way into the game.
The chances for Ajmal to feature in the World Cup are fifty-fifty, however, the spin maestro has been added into the WC squad, said Khan while speaking to media in Lahore.
The PCB chief said Scotland, Netherlands and Zimbabwe are also ready to play in Pakistan.
He claimed that Pakistan’s position in the International Cricket Council was strong.
He said banned fast bowler Muhammad Amir will be benefitted from the new amendments in ICC code of corruption. He added that case of Salman Butt and Muhammad Asif is different. “We will file appeal with the ICC in three to four days regarding reviewing the case of Amir.”
He said Misbahul Haq’s regained confidence after assurance from the PCB regarding his retention as captain in the World Cup. It gave confidence to the captain and the entire team, he added.
