Ali Zafar pays tribute to Peshawar victims with Urain Ge

Ali Zafar took the initiative of bringing together some of the big names from the Pakistani film and entertainment fraternity together for the music video. Meesha Shafi, Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Behroz Sabzwari, Sajid Hasan, Mehwish Hayat, Marina Khan, Shoaib Malik, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Sajjad Ali, Humayun Saeed, Anwar Maqsood, Javed Sheikh and Ahsan Khan to name a few, made appearances in the video.
In the video, the various artists demonstrate pain, misery and anguish in the beginning for the victims of the ghastly tragedy that took place at the Army Public School in Peshawar. The song, as well as its video does not entirely center on grief and regret over the incident. The chorus echoes sentiments of hope, resolve and struggle to attain betterment.

The song is released a little over than a month when the heart wrenching tragedy shook the nation on December 16, 2014 last year. More than a couple of gunmen stormed the Army Public School in Peshawar and shot to death one hundred and forty-nine schoolchildren. The incident drew immediate condemnation not only from all quarters within Pakistan but condolence messages also poured in from the rest of the world. A three day national mourning was observed to mark the tragic deaths of the innocent victims. Outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack, as an act of vengeance on Pakistan army.
The song might very well prove to be the anthem for hope and change in Pakistan. It rightfully captures the gloom and depression the nation steeped into soon after the incident took place. Overall, Ali Zafar and the rest of the star studded cast for the music video deserves a pat on the back for their noteworthy initiative.
The video ends with the words ‘You will not be forgotten.’
