LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has appealed the followers of all sects to promote patience, forbearance and mutual respect in order to maintain interfaith harmony during Muharram ul Haram – ARY News reports.
In a statement issued on 9th Muharram, Altaf Hussain said that terrorist elements are in a bid to target innocent people and religious places.
He appealed the people to fully cooperate with police and other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for their security and the maintaining the law and order.
The MQM Chief urged the people to keep a watch over suspected people within and around them and readily inform the police and LEAs if they find any such thing or individuals.
