Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) will be marked on 3rd December 2015 amid stringent security measures.
The procession will start from Nishtar Park at 01:00 pm and will end at Hussainian Iranian Imambargah while passing through Saddar, Regal, Boulton Market and Kharadar.
Provincial government sources stated that Police and Rangers officials have finalized security arrangements for Chehlum in a meeting. More than 12,000 personnel will provide security whereas heavy contingents of para-military troops will monitor the procession.
A ban on pillion riding has been enforced from Wednesday night till Thursday.
The shops along the route of the procession will be sealed whereas sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squad will also search the rally.
The procession will also be monitored by aerial surveillance. The snipers from Police and Rangers will be deployed on the high-rise buildings located on the route of the processions.
