As per an old report from a foreign-based media outlet, Warner Bros. sci-fi thriller ‘Gravity’ that grossed $700 million internationally, and brought over 10 nods at the prestigious Academy Awards, in addition to the major boost to Bullock’s career, was originally planned with Jolie and Downey Jr., confirmed Cuaron.

However, it was later reported that Jolie’s fallout from the film eventually made her cut ties with her manager Geyer Kosinski.

“For years, Jolie has relied on her controlling manager, Geyer Kosinski, who blocked her from the Hollywood community and demanded producing credits and fees for himself on most of her projects,” the report had quoted.

“But Kosinski’s stock tumbled with ‘Gravity’ when the monster hit moved from Universal to Warner Bros. over money and Jolie was replaced by Sandra Bullock, who will reap a fortune and probably get a Best Actress Oscar nomination.”

The film went to bag awards in seven of the ten categories it was nominated for and despite losing the award to Cate Blanchett, Bullock was praised for her performance, leading to a disappointing outcome for Jolie who came so close to the blockbuster project.
