Another university girl goes missing in Sindh

KHAIRPUR: One more university girl went missing mysteriously, this time, from Shah Abdul Latif University here, after relatives failed to establish contact with her, ARY News reported.

According to the university administration, Fozia Parveen –a student of M.Sc final year – mysteriously went missing two days ago whose whereabouts are still unknown.

The family apprised media that contact could not be established with Parveen after two days as her mobile number has constantly remained off.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khairpur Azfar Mahesar said that investigation has been underway in the light of initial missing report and mobile data of the missing girl is being gathered after which police would be able to find the facts.

On the other hand, Waseem – a brother of the missing girl – dispelled the possibility that the girl might have joined an extremist group.

He said that his sister has no inclination towards religious extremism and family is undergoing severe distress after the missing incident.

The classmates of Perveen have expressed their ignorance about the possibility of her abduction.

It is pertinent to mention here that another girl – Noureen Laghari from Hyderabad – had gone missing few months back and later it was found that the girl had joined a militant outfit and she was to be used for in an alleged suicide attack on Christians in Easter. However, she was rescued in an intelligence raid in Lahore in which a terrorist was gunned down.
