ANP challenges LB Act 2013 in PHC

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) has challenged the Local Body (LB) Act 2013 in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Saturday – ARY News reports.

According to details, Sardar Hussain Bobak and Khushdil Khan Advocate submitted the petition challenging the LB Act 2013 in the PHC.

It was stated in the petition that the LB Act 2013 is against the basic human rights, while the authorities given to the Chief Minister (CM) regarding the union council were also requested to be withdrawn.

The petition made the Khbyer Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government, Chief Secretary KP and the Secretary for Local Bodies as parties in the case.
