Army chief celebrates Eid with troops on LoC

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa offered his Eid prayer along with the troops of Pakistan Army on the Line of Control (LoC).

He prayed for peace, development and stability of the country.

The army chief later mingled with soldiers and exchanged Eid greetings with them. He praised the sacrifices of the martyrs for the defense of the motherland.

Gen Bajwa said as a soldier spending Eid away from home is a pride. He appreciated the high morale of the troops.

Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated with religious zeal and fervor across the country today.

Big Eid congregations were held at open places, mosques and eidgahs in all major cities and towns.  Religious scholars in their sermons highlighted the significance and philosophy of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of the country and welfare of the Muslim Ummah.

Strict security measures are in place across the country to avoid any untoward incident.
