Army Chief endorses death sentence of 11 terror convicts

The death convicts were involved in killing of DIG Fayyaz Sumbal, Balochistan Police ASI Raza Khan, ISI Inspector Kamran Nazir, Major Abid Majeed of Pakistan Army and sectarian killings and kidnappings of Frontier Constabulary personnel and civilians, the ISPR statement said.

The convicts were also involved in attacks on the personnel of security agencies, detonating government buildings, schools, key installations and other heinous crimes.

The terrorists who tried and convicted in military courts included Ziaul Haq s/o Wali Khan, Fazal Rabbi s/o Fazal Ghafoor, Mohammad Sher s/o Zaray, Umarzada s/o Gul Rehman, Lateef-ur-Rehman s/o Saif-ur-Rehman, Mohammad Adil s/o Akbar Jan, Israr Ahmed s/o Abdul Rahim Jan, Abdul Majeed s/o Khona Mola, Hazrat Ali s/o Fazal Rabbi, Mian Saeed Azam s/o Mian Saeed Jafar and Qaisar Khan s/o Habib Khan.

All convicts have been affiliated to outlawed militant groups and they will be executed within few days.

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has endorsed the death sentence of these hardened criminals.

The terrorists were involved in attacks on police and security forces in Quetta and other parts of the country.
