Army, ISI not backing Islamabad protests: ISPR

TOP NEWS

The statement released by ISPR expressed concerns over indulging Army in the on-going political crisis.

Pakistan Army has always supported the democracy in the country and it is a non-political institute, ISPR stated.

The statement made after President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Makhdoom Javed Hashmi claimed that PTI Chief Imran Khan is following the instructions of Army.

Earlier, reports were going rounds that Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif had advised the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down for three months.

However, immediate rebuttal was issued from ISPR stating that all such news is totally baseless.
