ARY News anchorperson Arshad Sharif awarded Presidential Pride of Performance

ISLAMABAD: Arshad Sharif, ARY News anchorperson and senior investigative journalist, received the Presidential Pride of Performance on Saturday for his exceptional journalism, ARY News reported.

Mr Sharif was among the several other civilians and military personalities who were awarded various national awards for their services towards Pakistan.

Mr Sharif has worked with several national and international media houses and keeps a tight grip on current affairs and global issues.

Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor and Director-General Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Major General Saeed Ahmed were conferred upon Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military).

Other notable Pakistanis who received the prizes were folk singer Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi (Sitara-i-Imtiaz), famed cricket star and President of Karachi Kings Wasim Akram (Hilal-i-Imtiaz), former fast bowler and erstwhile coach of national cricket team Waqar Younis.

Actress Reema Khan was also the recipient of Presidential Pride of Performance whereas Mehwish Hayat was awarded with Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.

As many as 127 personalities were conferred upon Pakistan’s national awards on the eve of Pakistan Day, March 23rd, 2019.
