KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari welcomed the CJP suggestion for political parties to hold talks for the election date, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
As per details, the political parties have initiated talks to solve the issue regarding elections, Asif Zardari added.
He said when the PDM coalition parties come on one-page on the general elections then the PDM will approach the opposition as well.
The PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari further said that if the CJP gives some time then holding elections on one day will be possible through consultations.

Earlier, the Supreme Court (SC) issued notices to major political parties for tomorrow (Thursday) on a petition filed by the defence ministry seeking general elections across Pakistan simultaneously.
During the hearing the AGP told the court that almost all the political parties have agreed on holding talks on the issue of general elections and if the court can allow some time then this matter can be solved.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) remarked that if the all the political parties come on the same page then the court can make some room for this matter too.
