LAHORE: Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ) while delaying the protest sit-ins for the arrest of the killers of Molana Shams ur Rahman Muawiya, has announced to stage peaceful protest demonstrations on Friday – ARY News reports.
Addressing a press conference after offering condolences to the family of slain ASWJ leader Molana Shams ur Rahman Muawiya, ASWJ Chief Allama Muhammed Ahmed Ludhiyanvi said that the sit-ins have been postponed over the appeal of Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
He added that it is hoped that the Government will keep its words of arresting the killers of Molana Shams Muawiya.
Ludhiyanvi demanded the Government to provide security to ASWJ officials and announced that a meeting of party’s general council is summoned on December 15.
He further added that soon a National Sunni Convention will be called and some important decisions will be made.
