At least nine die in Quetta bomb attack

The blast apparently targeted a vehicle of security forces near the district courts building in Quetta. A woman and a child were also among the dead.

Scores of persons were injured in the terrorist attack, Balochistan home secretary informed the media.

“Whether it was an Improvised Explosive Device or a suicide attack, it can not be said right now” said home secretary Akbar Durrani.

The explosion partially damaged the security forces’ vehicle and shattered the window panes of nearby buildings, reports said.

The injured were being transferred to nearby hospitals including Civil Hospital Quetta.
