Australia beats Proteas to level T20 series

South African Captain Jean Paul Duminy won the toss and put his side to bat first.

The Proteas could only manage to put up 101/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Duminy was the top scorer for the team as he made 49 runs from 51 balls which included three boundaries and a six. Reeza Hendricks scored 18 runs from 22 balls.

Riley Rossouw contributed 12 runs whereas David Miller made 11 runs from 15 balls.

Australian pacer James Faulkner took three wickets whereas Cameron Boyce grabbed two wickets for his team. Doug Bollinger and Pat Cummins also took one wicket each.

The home side, chasing 102 to win, reached the target with seven wickets in hand and more than seven overs to spare.

Captain Aaron Finch made 44 runs from 30 balls which comprised of eight boundaries. Shane Watson made 30 runs for his team whereas Ben Dunk contributed 23 runs from 20 balls.

Proteas fast bowler Wayne Parnell dismissed two batsmen and Kagiso Rabada took one wicket.

Cameron Boyce was named Man of the Match for his bowling performance.

The third and final match will be played on 9th November at Sydney Cricket Ground.
