THE HAGUE: Three matches were played in 2014 World Hockey Cup men’s event on Monday between Australia- Spain, England-India and Malaysia-Belgium, ARY News reported.
In the first match on the third of event that is being played in Holland, Defending Champions Australia outclassed Spain with 3-0 win bagging second consecutive victory.
Tim Deavin set the momentum for Australia with the opening goal in the tird minute. Later Mark Knowles flicked in a penalty after Spain committed an offence while defending a penalty corner, and another short corner was finished by Kieran Govers to make it 3-0 on the stroke of half time.
In the second match India faced second successive defeat by 2-1 from the hands of England while Belgium hammered Malaysia by 6-2 in the third match.
