Ayesha Omar is taking fans on a nostalgic trip down memory lane after revisiting the very first episode of Bulbulay, nearly 17 years after the beloved sitcom first aired.
The actress shared a throwback clip from the show on her Instagram Stories, featuring the iconic first meeting between her character Khoobsurat and Nabeel Zafar’s character Nabeel.
“Damnnnnn this was 17 years ago. Bulbulays first episode,” she wrote while tagging her longtime co-star.
The nostalgic post quickly resonated with fans, many of whom praised the sitcom for its timeless humour and memorable characters. For years, Bulbulay has remained one of Pakistan’s most loved comedy shows, entertaining audiences with its slapstick comedy and unconventional family dynamics.
First airing on ARY Digital on October 22, 2009, the sitcom revolves around a quirky household consisting of Momo, Nabeel, Khoobsurat and Mehmood Sahab. Every episode places the family in bizarre and hilarious situations, leading to the show’s signature comedic chaos.
In addition to Ayesha Omar and Nabeel Zafar, the long-running series also stars Hina Dilpazeer and Mehmood Aslam in lead roles.
Directed by Rana Rizwan and written by Ali Imran and Saba Hassan, the sitcom has aired more than 790 episodes across its two seasons.
Even after nearly two decades, Bulbulay continues to enjoy immense popularity, with fans calling it a legendary part of Pakistani television history.
