When asked about involvement of former MQM affiliate Anees Qaimkhani and Karachi Tanzeemi Committee (KTC) in-charge Hammad Siddiqui in the Baldia tragedy which left over 280 people dead in September 2012, the former mayor said: “I am ready to offer myself to be executed if Qaimkhani is proven guilty in the case.”

He said that he has not come to takeover anything, but the purpose of his return is to invite people to join hands with him for the development of the country.

Responding to a question about MQM’s fears of minus-Altaf formula behind his allegations, Mustafa Kamal reiterated that ‘everyone has to go’ and the minus-Altaf thing should not be taken into consideration.
