The nominees for the Ballon d’Or 2025 were announced on Thursday, with PSG players dominating the nominations.
As many as 10 players from the PSG team, which had a successful season and a maiden Champions League, have been nominated for the top prize.
Ballon d’Or 2025 nominees from PSG include Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi, among others.
Barcelona’s rising star Lamine Yamal has also been nominated for the top prize.
His teammates, Raphinha and Pedri, have also been nominated for the award.
Mo Salah, who had a record-setting season and led Liverpool to a record-equalling 20th Premier League title, is among the nominees.
Cole Palmer was nominated for the Ballon d’Or 2025 after his instrumental role in Chelsea’s triumph in the Club World Cup.

Scott McTominay, who was named Serie A’s player of the year, is among the leading contenders for on the nomination sheet.
After his transfer from Manchester United to Napoli in 2024, the 28-year-old scored 12 goals and six assists in 34 appearances in Serie A.
