Raheela Hameed Durrani is the first woman speaker of the Balochistan Assembly and the 14th overall.
Durrani was born in Quetta and has a degree in MA. LLB from Balochistan University.
She started her political career by becoming a provincial minister on reserved seat on the ticket of Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) in 2002.
She was re-elected as MPA on reserved seat in the 2013 general elections on the ticket of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N).
