Big-3 had proposed to make Big-4: Najam Sethi

LAHORE: Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi said that England, Australia and India aka Big-3 had proposed to make a Big-4 but the cricket board did not take the matters further, ARY News reports.

Speaking to media at Lahore Airport before leaving for a meeting of the executive board of International Cricket Council (ICC), Najam Sethi said that the meeting of the cricket council is an important one. He further said that he knows that Pakistan's vote does not have any importance in the Big-3 matter.

He claimed that India, Australia and England had proposed Pakistan to make Big-4 but PCB did not stretch the matter. He added that his objective is to revive the cricketing ties between Pakistan and India. "The board will not generate revenue if it does not hold a series with its neighbor", he added.

Najam Sethi said that the cricketing schedules have been finalized with all countries till 2020 except India.

"Twenty20 cricket is a game of two-three overs", Sethi said on the team's performance. He hoped that the Green Shirt will perform well in the future tournaments.
