ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police on Wednesday arrested a bike-lifter gang and recovered seven stolen motorcycles from their possession, ARY News reported.
The officials of Shehzad Town police station arrested the ringleader of a bike-lifter gang along with his three accomplices. The accused were identified as Saddam, Khalid, Aqeel and Saif Ali.
According to the police spokesman, the “mota gang” were carrying out criminal activities in the Koral, Bani Gala, and Khanna areas of the capital.
Giving details of the criminal activities, the spokesman said that the gang members used to book a ride through a mobile app for Koral, Bani Gala and Khanna. When the rider drop the accused at the location, they snatched his motorcycle and flee from the scene, he added.
During the operation, the police recovered seven stolen motorbikes from the possession of the gang members.
