'Humanity above politics': Bilawal hits back at Fawad

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Wednesday hit back at Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry for criticising him over his meeting with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Kot Lakhpat Jail.

In a tweet, the PPP leader reminded the minister of Mr Sharif’s visit to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital to inquire after Prime Minister Imran Khan after he was seriously injured in a fall during election rally in 2013.

“If U-turns make great leaders in Naya-Pakistan your saying I am now Leader of the Century? Also visiting someone who is ill should be seen for what it is,” he said.

“Humanity above politics. Pehlay insan bano phir syasatan bano [First become a human than a politician]. Remember NS visit when the old khan fell and broke his back?”

Earlier, the minister in a tweet had said: “U Turn of the Century Grandson of Bhutto reunion with Munh Bola Beta of Zia Ul Haq.”
