KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday demanded for accountability of everybody and at the same time announced to nominate one name from his party for the candidacy of premiership, ARY News reported.

“This is a big day for Pakistan and democracy. The verdict announced by the Supreme Court (SC) will go in Pakistan’s interest. The top court ruling will prove to have fundamental importance in the history of Pakistan,” he said addressing a press conference following the verdict announced by the SC to disqualify Nawaz Sharif for the seat of prime minister.

Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Senator Sherry Rehman and Aitzaz Ahsan were also present on this occasion.

The PPP chairman said the ruling of the apex court will help eradicate embezzlement from the country. He claimed the issue of Panama Leaks was raised by his party. He also asked other political parties to respect Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution (which played crucial role in Nawaz’s disqualification).

Reminiscing his mother, he said once former prime minister Benazir Bhutto said Nawaz would one day remorse over conspiracies against her.
