Bollywood marks Women's Day with wishes on Twitter!

B-town made it known they valued Women’s Day and made it known via their official Twitter accounts.

Women’s Day is celebrated annually throughout the world on 8th march. The day marks valuable contributions that women have put forth in society and their role as human beings worthy of respect and adherence. Women’s Day is also a day when females are felicitated for their various roles in society such as those of a mother, wife and daughter. Similarly, Bollywood has its fair share of females who have made it big. The following stars tweeted inspirational messages for women and wished all their fans a happy Women’s Day:-

Owing to the recent ‘India’s Daughter’ documentary controversy which caused a rift between the Indian government and BBC, Bollywood spoke out against the ban which featured the 2012 Delhi rape. Keeping up the momentum of denouncing rape, Alia Bhatt tweeted the following.

The Highway and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania star followed it up with an inspiring and ambitious tweet, calling for more recognition in regards to female.

The angry young man of the 70’s, Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter and spoke words of wisdom, highlighting the need to honor women more frequently and with more than just one day off of the calendar year.
