Rumblings and speculations are everywhere that Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal are reuniting again in the third sequel of one of the most iconic Bollywood comedies ‘Hera Pheri’.

Several media sources have confirmed that a third film is set to bring back the trio while others still await a final confirmation from the filmmakers.

However, filmmaker Indra Kumar took to Twitter and wrote, “This is going to be a fun project with a stellar star cast @akshaykumar @SunielVShetty @SirPareshRawal Looking forward to #HeraPheri3”.

He even hinted that he himself might be directing the film. Kumar has directed comedies like Masti and Dhamaal, and is currently filming Total Dhamaal, starring Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor.

A source close to the project told Mumbai Mirror: “The project was locked last month after the three actors gave their dates. It will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule between December 2018 and February 2019 and will release in the second half of next year.”

The first movie ‘Hera Pheri’ was the remake of 1989 Malayalam film Ramji Rao Speaking, was directed by Priyadarshan and released in 2000. All credits goes to the ‘Hera Pheri’ team for creating an ideal trio of merry-makers by featuring celebrated actors like Akshay Kumar as Raju, Suniel Shetty as Shyam and Paresh Rawal as Babu Bhaiya.

The movie met with success and soon became an ‘all-time-favorite’ film and is enjoyed even with the same excitement as they are watching it for the first time.

In 2006, the filmmakers returned with a sequel titled ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ and once again the movie ruled over the silver screen. Since then people are impatiently waiting for a third installment.
