BRAZIL: Brawl between football fans left several injured

JOINVILLE: A clash was erupted between the spectators in Brazilian league football match, the fight left several people injured badly while one was reported to be in coma, ARY News reported.

According to sources fans from Atletico Paranaense and Vasco da Gama charged each other with punches, kicks and sticks during Sunday’s match in the city of Joinville.

A helicopter made a landing at the field to rush a victim to a hospital, while police stepped in to quell the violence. The police had to fire rubber bullets to stop the fighting.

The fight between the two groups of supports erupted at the stadium in 17th minute of the game when Atletico PR was leading 1-0, the match remained stopped for one hour because of conflict and Vasco da Gama lost the game by 1-0.
