You might have seen Ayesha Sana’s infamous video that went viral on social media, in which the actress can be seen screaming furiously at her cameramen and other crew members. According to a local report, Ayesha Sana claimed it was her ex-husband who was responsible for the video leaking out to social media. The video had been filmed systematically over a number of years at the behest of her husband, since he and Ayesha were going through marriage troubles at the time. Her crew had filmed the video when she hosted the show Meena Bazaar on PTV.

“They had bought extra tapes to make these which is appalling because at that time PTV didn’t even have enough tapes to record the show itself,” she said. “PTV is a state organisation and a national asset. No one can use it or abuse it! It’s a crime to use government property for settling personal disputes,” she revealed.

According to Ayesha, the video was uploaded on social media three years ago but went viral only recently. She also revealed how she had disclosed the truth about her failing marriage at a morning show, which went live over the world. However, her husband had the repeat transmissions cancelled. “Two months later, he took the recording and released it on social media and the rest is history,” she said.

Has the video and the uproar it caused on social media troubled the television presenter? Not really. But she did beg forgiveness.

“People do like my work and if I made a mistake and something was taken out of context, please forgive me. “The situation did do me well in a way. As in if the social media generation didn’t know of me before, it does now. The person who did it wanted to ruin me. Instead, it worked in my favour,” she stated.

And yes, in case you’re wondering, she has seen all the parody videos made by celebrities of her and she doesn’t mind it one bit.

“Asim Yar Tiwana made a video but he is one of my best friends. Even Humaima Malick and Ali Saleem made Dubsmash videos and if Ali needs me to make a comeback, I take it as a compliment!”
