The proceedings of the case filed by central selection committee comprising 18 employees were held at the IHC. Chief Justice IHC Anwar Kasi conducted the hearing.
Prominent lawyer Asma Jahangir represented the employees who had filed case in the court against PM orders for elevating certain officials in the bureacracy. Chief justice, who was heading the bench, remarked that constitution and rule of law was above any personality and position.
CJ Kasi declared PM’s orders of promotions in the bureaucracy null and void.
