This was stated by Chairman Cable Operators Khalid Arain while addressing a press conference here.

Arain said that he had apprised Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah the problems faced by the cable industry, which was providing quality entertainment at a nominal fee that has also not been increased.

He thanked the Chief Minister for ordering the Sindh Board of Revenue (BoR) for tax exemption for the industry for three years. He also thanked Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto and former President Asif Zardari for the tax amnesty.

He requested Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to provide similar incentive to cable operators in his province. He also urged the provincial and federal governments to assist them to switch over to the latest technology.
