Cantonment Board Polls: DG Rangers visits various polling stations

Polling has been in progress at six Cantonment Boards (CB) of Karachi today. The residents of the Cantonment Boards across Pakistan exercising their right to vote today to elect their local representatives.

A team of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) also visited various polling booths to observe the electoral process.

In six Cantonments of Karachi 193 candidates contesting for 31 seats as a candidate has returned unopposed.

In Faisal Cantonment 43 candidates are contesting for 10 council seats. In Clifton Cantonment 83 candidates are fighting for 10 council seats.

Total 24 candidates including independents are competing in five wards of Karachi Cantonment Board.

Moreover, 24 candidates are contesting for three seats in Malir Cantonment Board, while seven candidates are fighting for two seats at Manora Cantonment.

A candidate of Jamaat Islami has returned unopposed at one of the two seats  of Korangi Cantonment, while 12 candidates are fighting for the remaining seat.
