KARACHI: An elderly bike rider whose video while riding the bike carelessly with his and a toddler went viral, has been arrested by the police, ARY News reported.
The video of the elderly man, riding his bike dangerously, with his wife and toddler sitting behind her, had started circulating over social media. The man could be seen driving on the Rashid Minhas road and going toward Sohrab Goth Flyover in the video.
In the video, both the elderly man and the woman sitting behind her seem to be enjoying ruthless driving. The man could be seen driving without hands and taking sharp dangerous turns while his wife and child sat behind him.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Police Karachi Ahmed Nawaz took notice of the ruthless driving and ordered the arrest of the elderly person. Traffic Section Gulberg took action and arrested the man and filed a case against him for overspeeding and reckless driving.

A Traffic Police spokesperson said that driving recklessly is not only dangerous to people’s lives but also a crime. Riders should drive responsibly in order to safeguard their and other people’s lives, they added.
