Caretaker PM reiterates to hold free, fair, transparent elections

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (Retired) Nasirul Mulk on Thursday said the caretaker government was committed to hold the general elections in a transparent manner.

“The provincial government has made all necessary arrangements to make the election process transparent,” he said while talking to caretaker Punjab ministers at Governor House in Lahore. Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hassan Askari was also present on the occasion.

The PM said the caretaker Punjab government was performing its duty in a professional and neutral manner.

During the meeting the caretaker chief minister said he was personally visiting different cities and reviewing the arrangements regarding the forthcoming elections.

Earlier, Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Hassan Askari met with Nasirul Mulk in Lahore.

During the meeting, they reaffirmed their commitment to ensure holding of transparent, fair and free general elections 2018.

Speaking on this occasion, Askari said that all arrangements were being finalized for holding the general elections in a peaceful atmosphere in Punjab.
