Case lodged against ‘abduction’ of PTI’s Amjad Pervaiz Butt

A local leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Gujrat namely Amjad Pervaiz Butt was allegedly abducted by unidentified persons and a case was also lodged at the local police station, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

PTI Gujrat leader Amjad Pervaiz Butt has allegedly been abducted by unidentified persons and his vehicle was parked in the premises of a local shopping mall.

Butt’s brother submitted a complaint against the alleged abduction at the Rehmania police station.

His brother said that Amjad Pervaiz Butt is a close aide of former Punjab CM and PTI President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, whereas, his mobile phone is still turned off.

Yesterday, former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan demanded the immediate release of PTI’s Instagram lead Atta ur Rehman.

In a Twitter message, Imran Khan alleged, “It has been 5 days since our PTI Instagram lead Atta ur Rehman was abducted.”

“We demand his immediate release and an end to abductions and torture of our social media activists,” he added.

Khan said, “These young people have committed no crime & are being penalised simply for being part of PTI’s social media team.”
