A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against accused, one of whom is a gardener while other is a security guard.

The law-enforcement agency opened an investigation into the case after the victim approached the authorities on August 6 and stated in her complaint that employees of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) were involved in the assault and rape.

The woman visited a park with a male companion when the incident occurred. As the pair entered the Fatima Jinnah Park on August 2, an official approached them and introduced himself as the CDA official and rudely asked what she was doing in the park with a boy.

According to her, they had entered the park from gate number 2. The official, in order to threaten the couple, said he would take them to the police.

The girl, according to police, told the man that she had done nothing wrong and he can call the police. The official also threatened to summon the parents of the girl to the police station.

According to the victim they thought as the officials might be doing this for money, the boy reportedly paid them Rs2,000 after which they told to leave the park, telling the boy to go from one gate while they escorted the girl out from the other.

While taking the girl out, the official sexually assaulted the girl while two of the other officials who were present on the scene didn’t intervene.

Afterwards, the official left the girl at a nearby metro station and threatened her to not tell anybody or else she would be killed. The incident left the girl traumatized, but after a few days she gathered courage to report the incident to Margalla Police Station. The victim added she brought the matter on record so that no other woman could fall prey to those rogues, and wanted the culprits to be punished for their crime.
