LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor also announced on Sunday his decision for quitting party. PML-N has lost one more loyal member from the party.
Few days ago former provincial minister and spokesman for Punjab government, Zaeem Hussain Qadri, had also had parted ways with PML-N, as he found no respect for the loyal party workers from their leaders.
Now Qadri is contesting from NA-133, Lahore, as an independent candidate after the PML-N denied him ticket.
Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor alleged that the party tickets for the upcoming general election were sold, “I know which ticket was sold for how much. I know how much money was spent to appoint someone as governor.”
While addressing a press conference in Lahore, the provincial minister swear to unveil PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz. “Lahore is not the property of any one person. Pakistan is not the property of Sharif family.”
He further added, “I can’t stand with the leadership which has hatched conspiracies against country’s institutions. Sometimes there was conspiracy regarding changing oath, while other times [Indian Prime Minister] Narendra Modi was called to Pakistan.”
As per him, he wanted to leave the party after the Model Town incident in which 14 workers of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek were killed and also after hanging of Mumtaz Qadri, the murderer of Punjab governor Salman Taseer.
He further remarked that he didn’t get the party ticket in 2013 as well, adding that he didn’t even submit his nomination papers this time around.
