ISLAMABAD: Senior Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali on Thursday dispelled the media speculations that he was suffering from back pain, therefore, he could not attend the PML-N GT Road rally.

“I am amazed that why I am being singled out in the media, while 99 percent of the senior party leadership is not participating in the rally,” he said in a clarification issued by his spokesman to media speculations on his absence from the rally being led by ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

This should be noted that younger brother of the former PM, Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal are also absent from the rally.

Nisar also said: “I never said that I will drive Nawaz Sharif’s car from Islamabad to Lahore, but some channels have been repeatedly running this unfounded news.”
