Sarwar wishes to introduce ‘amnesty scheme’ for plunderers

Describing the amnesty scheme, he said he would have asked the culprits to deposit 50 percent of the looted wealth in national treasury and take rest of the money home, adding that if somebody doesn’t even cooperate then, they would be dealt with an iron hand.

“Future of the country is in great danger, if no investigations are held into Panama leaks,” Sarwar voiced fears while talking to media after meeting former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s son, Ali Haider Gilani, in Lahore to congratulate him over his safe recovery from militants’ captivity.

The PTI leader also extended best wishes for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and prayed for recovery of his health. He said Nawaz Sharif was really unwell and was in London for an open-heart surgery.

Earlier, some speculations were being made that the PM was in London on some political agenda.

“Whole of the nation has witnessed the country being plundered in a rampant manner and then this money was transferred abroad,” the former governor Punjab said.
