Sources stated that 12 miscreants, equipped with heavy arms, stormed a security checkpost in Swabi and opened indiscriminate fire.
The armed forces responded with counter fire and repulsed the attack. The terrorists managed to escape from the scene.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
